
Martin’s work encompasses minimalistic traits with technical illustration, commonly encompassing a monochrome colour palette with a hint of red. This palette also reflects his fashion sense, we wanted a design which reflected him as a person as well as an illustrator. The ‘T’ not only acts as a letter but also hints towards the shape of a cross which symbolises the cross earring Martin always wears.
The sole purpose of the branding was to promote Martin’s illustrations however we also liked the fact that the aesthetic of the signature, also possessed similarities to that of a fashion brand; Martin’s ultimate goal is to work in the area of fashion illustration so we felt this characteristic was apt.
